Timeframe: 2011
Our Involvement: Design and training by amazonails
Construction Method: Frame & Infill
This small round house was built in Meltham, West Yorkshire as a sheep shelter. The timber frame and straw building was designed by amazonails and self built, with help and training from amazonails contractors in 2011. Locally sourced oak was used for the frame and the roof is made from silver birch and Douglas fir, topped with a green turf. Built into the hillside, it sits nicely against its surroundings with a fruit orchard planted nearby.
