Garreg Llwyd is a traditional Welsh croft in Caernarfon with a loadbearing single storey extension. Renovation work to the existing building was led by female self-builders, with some contractor help.
The design, courses and mentoring were all provided by amazonails in 2012. The build was finished with an insulated limecrete floor, an internal clay plaster and an external lime render. The stone plinth foundations used stone from the site to tie in with the existing building.
