This strawbale ticket office and reception was built for the National Trust Tyntesfield near Bristol in 2010.

Design consultancy was provided by Barbara and construction was led by a team of amazonails builders, along with the help of those on training courses and National Trust staff who were keen to get involved.

The original steel barn was refurbished, using a timber frame and straw infill, making this building a hybrid. The National Trust site is also home to the historic Tyntesfield house, the Cow Barn café and extensive grounds with walking routes.
